Prudential wanted to develop a procurement strategy which would deliver all their group-wide print requirements and reduce costs. Individual business units are responsible for their own budgets so they needed to see the benefits of using a central co-ordinated function. Our challenge was to improve the efficiency of the print procurement process without compromising on service and quality.
We established what the group was capable of and told them how they could strengthen their own operations instead of immediately recommending an outsourcing strategy which would mean relinquishing total control of the process.
We delivered a strategy which was innovative, fits our client’s needs and is capable of implementation rather than just looking good on paper. We implemented that strategy delivering savings of 25% pa on Prudential’s annual print bill.
