JMCL Host Procurement Middle East Webinar

JMCL’s Malcolm Smith has significant experience & expertise in a wide range of challenging sectors as a both functional leader and consultant. This, together with an engaging personality, means he’s a regular and popular speaker  – regarding Procurement and Supply  – on the conference circuit particularly for more thought provoking themes. 

Last week Malcolm hosted a global webinar on behalf of Messe Frankfurt.  The subject was Digitization of Supply Chain and Procurement. 

The webinar was part of a series supported by the Bahrain Tender Board under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Nayef bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairman of Bahrain Tender Board, Procurement Middle East 2020.  Ordinarily it would have a been a formal conference in Bahrain attended by 500 delegates from Europe, Asia, North America and the Gulf Region.

The conference took the form of a panel discussion, facilitated by Malcolm and was split into two segments the first being technical in nature and the second being to do with strategy. 

The webinar was attended by over 200 delegates and given the range of questions which flowed from the audience was very well received. In summing up Smith shared his enthusiasm for the subject matter and observed that what was being discussed when he entered the profession has not been only been surpassed but really ‘knocked out of the park’ given the discussions from the subject matter experts on the panels.

Hosting the conference was very timely for JMCL Consulting as a number of recent assignments have been embedded in the world of digitization of real time marketplaces for product and services and the transformation of procurement processes using Low Code platforms through our technology partners.
