  1. 1. Policy Statement

JMCL Consulting Ltd is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of its employees, clients, contractors, and visitors. We aim to provide a safe and healthy working environment and to prevent accidents and work-related ill health through proactive risk management and compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all relevant legislation.

 

  1. 2. Scope

This policy applies to all JMCL Consulting Ltd employees, associates and any other third parties engaged in our operations, whether working on-site, remotely, or at client premises.

 

  1. 3. Responsibilities

 

Chief Executive Office

  • Holds overall accountability for health and safety within the company.
  • Ensures adequate resources are allocated for health and safety management.
  • Approves and reviews the Health & Safety Policy annually.

 

Health & Safety Coordinator

Oversees the implementation of health and safety procedures.

  • Maintains records of risk assessments and incident reports.
  • Coordinates training and communication of safety information.

 

Line Managers

  • Ensure that employees understand and follow health and safety procedures.
  • Conduct and review risk assessments for their areas of responsibility.
  • Report hazards and incidents promptly.

 

All Employees & Associates

  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others.
  • Report hazards, near misses, and incidents immediately.
  • Follow all safety instructions, training, and procedures.
  1. 4. Reporting Structure

  • All health and safety concerns should be reported to the employee’s line manager or the Health & Safety Coordinator.
  • Serious incidents must be escalated to the Managing Director immediately.
  • A quarterly health and safety review will be conducted and documented.
  1. 5. Risk Identification and Mitigation Procedures

 

Risk Assessments

  • Conducted for all work environments and activities, including office-based and remote work.
  • Reviewed annually or when significant changes occur.

 

Control Measures

  • Implementation of ergonomic equipment and safe working practices.
  • Provision of training and guidance on hazard awareness.
  • Emergency procedures in place for fire, medical incidents, and lone working.

 

Incident Reporting

  • All incidents, including near misses, must be recorded in the Incident Log.
  • Investigations will be conducted to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

 

  1. 6. Training and Communication

  • All staff receive health and safety induction training.
  • Refresher training is provided annually or when roles change.
  • Policy updates and safety notices are communicated via email and team briefings.

 

  1. 7. Policy Review

This policy is reviewed annually by the Cief Executive Officer or sooner if required due to legislative changes or significant incidents. All updates are communicated to staff and documented.
