Print & Document Management

At JMCL we start by listening to the needs of our client. From there we flex our services to deliver solutions for those needs.

Print & Document Management

Whether electronic or hard copy we cover the whole document life cycle improving the effectiveness of our client’s communication and the costs associated with it. Whether this be improving internal processes, rationalising desktop devices, sourcing (in conjunction with Procurement), developing a strategy for in-house operations (in conjunction with Corporate Finance) or supporting a client with their bids we use our expert consultants and years of experience in the industry.

Our Print & Document services are covered by the four following areas:

1) Document Life Cycle

Documents, whether  electronic or printed, have a life cycle from Design to Destruction and from Mailroom to Archive. We consider our clients’ documents and how we can improves processes and reduce costs by integrating all the different life cycle stages, never forgetting the true purpose of a document is effective communication.

2) Sourcing (Procurement)

We identify our clients’ future needs and source appropriately. This may be internal sourcing e.g. directing desktop print to its cheapest source, or  tendering  for external print where our Procurement expertise comes into play. We ensure that documents are sourced by our clients in the cheapest and most efficient way for the organisation as a whole including independent desktop audit and device optimisation. We have a unique Print & Document sourcing methodology and tender templates refined over many sourcing exercises. We work with all types of print from simple letterheads to complex Transpromo, catalogues, point-of-sale etc.

3) In-House Operations

Our work with in-house operations goes back to when we were established in 1993 and dovetails perfectly with our Corporate Finance and Procurement activities.  We specialise in analysing internal operations and have developed and refined, over many years, a unique methodology for determining their future strategy. Rather than just retain or outsource we have nine options which we apply and model before making our recommendations.

Our approach is intensely practical since we are usually requested to implement our recommendations, whether this be to enhance the operation or to outsource it.  We are thoroughly attuned to the vital people aspects of these assignments including TUPE and accustomed to working with in-house managers and staff whose future will be affected by our recommendations.

4) Bid Support, Acquisitions & Sales

With our Procurement knowledge, both public and private sector, and our Corporate Finance expertise we undertake a lot of work supporting clients when they are bidding for large Print & Document management contracts or acquiring businesses.

Our work includes valuing the bid or target and identifying how to achieve savings and synergies. We also handle valuations for those owners interested in selling businesses and will handle the end-to-end sale transaction.
