Jonathan Michael, Chief Executive

Jonny spent five years with Arthur Andersen in Audit and Corporate Recovery before becoming head of Corporate Finance at the Wace Group PLC where he was responsible for Strategy, Acquisitions & Disposals and the Group’s property portfolio. He went on to run a label printing subsidiary of the Group before setting up JMCL in 1993.

He has overseen all JMCL’s Procurement projects and is Head of JMCL’s Procurement and Print & Document Management divisions.

He is a chartered accountant and holds an Economics degree from the LSE.

Patrick Cahill, Director

Patrick developed core skills in business to business and consumer brand marketing with Sharp Electronics and British American Tobacco, where his management roles covered all aspects of the sales / marketing mix.Following a period in charge of a US based export operation, his move to consultancy began as a Director of the multi-sector business turnaround unit at Arthur Andersen.

Since joining JMCL Patrick has played leading roles across all three of the company’s business streams. He has a BA from Oxford University and a Business Masters from the London Business School.

Patrick runs the US office and is based in New York.

Tony Murray, Head of Corporate Finance

Tony’s core skills are in corporate finance, strategy and business modelling. His industry knowledge is vast but he has particular expertise in Print & Document Management, Energy and Waste.

Having started his career as an engineer with GEC Marconi and the BBC, he then worked in Corporate Finance at the Royal Bank of Canada before joining Powergen New Ventures where he helped start and develop their Combined Heat and Power business. Tony’s subsequent work as Systems and Strategy Director at David S Smith PLC included the overhaul of the in-house I.T. department. He has a degree in Engineering from Cambridge University and a distinction in his MBA from Warwick Business School.
